More cooling than the G280426G050 — 6,000 BTU/hr against its 4,900 BTU/hr — at the same voltage; a solid match, just not bolt-for-bolt. Both the mounting pattern and the air cutouts need adjusting to take the VoltAire AT06RNWXX — routine sheet-metal work on a metal cabinet. VoltAire's adapter plate is optional here — your call, laid out below. VoltAire suggests working from the swap template so the mounting holes land right and the gasket seats with proper compression — that's what keeps water out. Adapter plate: optional — your call

The AT06RNWXX goes in without a plate; the plate makes the install easier. VoltAire’s units hang on their mounting tabs, which rest on the bottom edge of the upper cutout while you start the bolts. On the G280426G050 that edge falls inside the existing opening, so there is nothing for the unit to hang on. That is the only reason VoltAire recommends the plate on this swap.

  • Have a second person, a lift, or a temporary cleat hold the unit while you start the bolts.
  • Bolt a metal strip across the old opening at the height the tabs need, and behind any bolt the fit tool marks red.
  • Cut, gasket and seal from VoltAire’s template as usual. If any mounting hole stays unused, confirm the seal with VoltAire first.
